Special Education Services and Advocacy
for Students With Disabilities
What is a Special Education Advocate?
Special Education Advocates offer support to parents of children with all kinds of disabilities — emotional, social, learning, and sensory — not just physical disabilities. Special education advocates help parents ensure that a child’s special needs are met. They help parents understand available services, interpret test results, and work with schools to plan individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. Our advocate is willing to work with non-English speaking families if an interpreter is available.
