Aimee Parks Joins the RCAL Team

RCAL would like to welcome our new part-time Medicaid Service Coordinator, Aimee Parks. Aimee holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Sonoma State University. After graduating college, she worked as a Youth Supervisor I in the juvenile justice system in Sonoma County, CA. She also spent some time working as an Office Manager for a non-profit organization within the Wine Industry.

Aimee relocated to the Kingston area with her husband and 2 young sons 6 years ago. Aimee and her husband wanted to give their children the chance to experience the rich history and strong sense of community Kingston holds.

Before joining RCAL, she worked as an Assistant Teacher for The Brookside School in Cottekill, NY. Through her work at the Brookside School, she learned a lot about herself. She found a commitment and desire to help others help themselves. Aimee sees Service Coordination as a cohesive bridge between individuals and the services and supports that may be needed to help improve or expand on their quality of life, as well as their surroundings.

Electric Wheelchair Raffle List and/or Donation

RCAL has started a list for people who are interested in putting their names to enter into a raffle to win used electric wheelchairs.  There is a catch!  We only have raffles when a wheelchair or scooter is donated to our agency.  BUT. . . we have had many raffles since we have started the list back in August of 2005, almost 9 raffles.  So, if you are in need of a scooter or electric wheelchair and can't afford one, please give Dotty Haines a call at 331-0541 to be put on "the list".

If you are a person who has a chair or scooter sitting in the closet or garage collecting dust, give us a call and you can donate your used equipment and it is tax deductible!

Annual "Letter of the Law" Awards Dinner

Our annual awards dinner is coming up soon.  It will be held this coming October 18th.  If interested in nominating someone for the award or if you are interested in attending the dinner, please contact RCAL
